Description: This drawing evokes very strong memories for me because it reminds me of the time I lived in the Philippines and my animal welfare work there. This lucky kitten was rescued from the Philippine streets by a good friend of mine; it is her hands holding the kitten. At the time of rescue the kitten was in such a state we didn’t know if she would survive, however she did and has now moved with my friend to America. A very nice ending for a little Philippine street cat.

Description: This cute little monkey I photographed in Baguio in the Philippines. Unfortunately he was on a chain and kept as a “pet”, something I don’t condone at all. However his expression moved me so much, I wanted to capture that emotion on paper.

Description: I photographed this lion at Singapore zoo. He struck me because all the others lions were strutting their stuff, where he laid calmly watching them, almost like he knew better than to use his energy in such a way.
